Sepals may actually be bracts and therefore the petals would be
sepals

Economic importance - several ornamentals, some species are
weedy.
Medicinal uses - Portulaca oleracea (Purslane) is a common
weed, poultice used for burns and inflammation, tea for headaches and
stomaches, leaves are edible.
